June has been the start of our British ‘Summertime’. With a little ray of sunshine here + there and a heck of alot of rain..we are bringing in the Summer time with an umbrella and a smile. (a cute Cath Kidston one.)

The months are flying in, which means we are having fun here at Messyla. Things are getting busier and I couldn’t be happier. I love my job and I am so thankful for everyone and everything in between.

Here are my favourite posts from this month..I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Made & sold cards for all the wonderful Fathers out there.

I went to the auctions and bagged some beauties!

Created a hamper for the Ronald McDonald House Charity raffle. <3

& I designed some Parisian themed wedding invitations for my sister.

June was wonderful & I hope July will be just as fabulous. Have a lovely weekend, folks!x

May in Review

Each time I write a month review I can’t believe that the prospect of a new month is upon us – new blog posts to be written, people to see and things to do. It’s JUNE! Can you literally believe we are half way through 2012? And that this is officially the summer holidays for people..I am baffled by the way time is flying. But I guess that means we are having fun.

Which I am. Copious amounts of it.

May was another busy month here at Messyla.  I completed the bulk of my Cycling Scotland design order, which finishes in the middle of June. It’s been a lot of work but one of the most enjoyable custom jobs I have created. It has shown me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it: 1200 tags? pfft. no bother. It makes me excited for what I can accomplish in the future and to know that no task is too large. It all can be managed in the end!

Due to the busy order, I hardly even posted this month. I am a little embarrassed at my feeble attempt to blog consistently each day. However, there is always tomorrow.

In May I…

Continued my 52 Weeks of Baking Challenge.

Visited the birthday party of the lovely Cushion & Cake and Artisan Roast. (separately)

Shared what I have learnt about Messyla thus far.

Talked & shared peaks of my Workshoppe make-over!

Made foxy print bunting for the online shoppe.

Worked outside in the haze of the summer sun.

June brings my Messyla Jubilee week which starts on Monday 4th, more baking, Father’s Day cards, the new & improved teacup tuesday and so much more… xx

April In Review.

Another month has gone and it was over in a jiff! April was a tough month to begin with for me but it slowly became another crafty month with lovely things decorating it. May will bring to Messyla: New shops to stock, more creating & branching out, tackling a large job for a big company, baking up a storm and hopefully enjoying some sunshine.

In April I..

Continued my 52 Weeks of Baking Challenge.

Launched a napkin range on my Online Shoppe.

Said goodbye to my dear Ikeyboy.

Started my Teacup Tuesdays fortnightly feature!

Shared some Melle Cloche Exclusive cards.

I got my bikes out from my bedroom and into the spring sun.

Had a photoshoot with 0141Chloe.

Did some cooking!

I’m excited for May and the introduction of a new season. With love and thank you, as always, for your love and support!xx

March in Review

March was a lovely month here at Messyla. It was the start of the spring time fun, pretty things and shop updates. April will be just as splendid, with even more new items, more baking and more teacups. I can’t believe it is April already! Time has flown by. April means to me: A little holiday break in Edinburgh, another tattoo, creating and gardening.

In March I…

Continued my 52 Weeks of Baking Challenge.

Shared my Cookie Cutter colletcion.

Made lots of Mother’s Day cards and had a plentiful month of selling to my UK customers.

I made an Inspiration Board and shared how I did it.

I shared how to create a space that evokes who you are.

Made Tomato Soup from scratch with Pesto.

Started selling Vintage Scarves at my Online Shoppe.

And I made some spiffing bunting.

March was fabulous. I couldn’t have has such a lovely month if it wasn’t for my viewers! Thank you, thank you, thank you. xx

February In Review

March is going to be a splendid month here at Messyla. I am sponsoring one of my favourite blogs, A is for Ampersand and I have a whole month full of quality posts lined up! I love March because I feel it is the end of hibernation. Flowers sprout and grow, squirrels come back from their cosy beds and the nights are light. Spring is on its way and I am relishing the though of not having layers upon layers of thick knits. Just for a little while at least. The winters are so severe in this time, so I long for just some sunshine so I can ride my bike, eat outdoors and wear pretty shoes. Without leg warmers.

In February I..

Continued to bake for my 52 Weeks of Baking challenge.

Shared a little tour of my room.

Re-stocked my online Shoppe.

Celebrated Valentine’s Day by baking Jammy Dodgers.

Reiterated my love of coffee by treating myself to a stove top coffee maker.

Shared a little peak of Glasgow’s favourite florist Lavender Blue.

And loved this little chap so much each day that it takes my breath away!

Tomorrow I will let you all in on the some of the things you can look forward to in March!xx

January In Review

I can’t believe February is upon us, but if I am honest, I am really glad! January is a gloomy month: things are slow and no one wants to do too much since we are all in debt from Christmas. February has already brought some sunshine to Scotland and a lighter evening. I am looking forward to daffodils, spring colours and a little bit of sunshine so I can go spend more time with my beautiful little rabbit.

So this January, I..

Made my New Years Resolutions.

I vowed to bake every week of 2012.

I reviewed my favourite coffee haven: Artisan Roast.

I shared my special tools that I need to make pretty cards.

I made cute Valentine’s gift tags.

I made some bunting in a few pretty patterns.

I had lots of tea parties.

I became the proud owner of pretty teacups!

I loved this little guy more and more each day.

February brings lots of Valentine’s themed DIY’s, lots of item photos and some general updates from my little life. With love, La!xx
