As of tomorrow, I have a new little stockist with a twist! I am so proud to now be stocking The Gaelic Books Council (32 Mansfield Street, Glasgow’s West End.) with exclusive Gaelic Messyla Cards. There is a selection of cards from Birthdays to Father’s day to Weddings. So please, if you speak gaelic of know someone who does, have a little browse and tell me what you think! Hope you are all well, xxx.
If you follow me on the Messyla Facebook or Instagram, you will have seen that I have been very excited about a new stockist of Messyla goods. Siempre Bicycle Cafe is a new coffee shop come bicycle equipment shop in Glasgow’s West End. Pick up a coffee, delicious healthy sandwiches or browse around some unique cycle accessories.. It’s a perfect place to meet and relax if you are a bike lover.
There is a selection of bike cards available and also Bicycle luggage tags! I really enjoyed putting together the cards and considering all the different types of people who might purchase them. Different colour schemes and patterns. Little gems on the wheels or no gems. There is, hopefully, something for everyone. So if you live in the Glasgow area.. why not pop down for a browse of all things Bike? 162 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow.

If your anything like me, you like to decorate for all seasons of the year. Whether its daffodils to mark the beginning of spring, little egg themed decor for Easter or hearts for Valentines day. Which is why I made a little Valentine’s day themed pin cushion!
Of course, it’s not just for Valentine’s day.. but I like the idea that someone might be gifted this Granny Penelope Pin Cushion for their Valentine’s day treat.
A new feature I am happy to introduce to my blog this year is: What I’m Working on! I rarely share pictures of behind the scenes of items before they reach my shop, so I thought this feature would show you a little more of the techniques I use.
This is the beginning of another Granny Chíc item for the shop. A cushion! It will be roughly 15 inches (squared) in size and perfectly plump in all its Granny goodness. I am excited to introduce them this month, I think they would make a beautiful present for a new home or a pretty gift for yourself.
Above is also my Dear Emma Designs crochet case. It’s originally a kindle/e-reader case, but I thought it would make a perfect pencil case/equipment holder too! I always used to lose my crochet hooks and scissors until I purchased this wonderful case.
Take a look at her outstanding items.. We are Dear Emma mad (we have all the brooches and purses!).xx
This week I decided that the Online Shoppe needed a little sprucing for the holiday season approaching. Armed with my camera and lots of different props, I set to work in creating new product photos for any items that were left over from the stall. I am so pleased with my new style for photos and also the simplicity of the designs themselves!
So pop on over the Shoppe today and see if anything takes your fancy. For yourself, a loved one and to celebrate Christmas time. Have a lovely Saturday! x
Autumn is my favourite time of year, which meant that designing items with the crisp leaves and chilly days in mind came easy to my budding fingertips. I have been inspired by my country garden – watching the weather change briskly and planning the activities I like to do in the winter seasons. So to give you a little selection of things that might suit any Autumny birthdays, gifts for yourself or just to treat a loved one..I have put together this little gift guide of whats new and available at Messyla this season.
Whether sending a present to a friend, hoarding cards for the future or getting ready to pickle some chillies..there is something for everyone in the ‘Cards, Tags and Wrap’ sections of Messyla.
Make some chilli jams this Autumn or even wrap a present for someone special using the Jar Tags!
Decorating your home, gathering things for a New Home gift or wanting to decorate your house to match the weather outdoors..I have a selection of housey goods that will light up any cold, dull and sometimes dreary days. (If you are from Glasgow..)
Decorate with some autumn colours..or even for a thanksgiving feast!
Miniature magnetic bunting for your fridge, radiator or any magnetic surface!
Curl up with a book and a blanket this season, using a crochet bookmark to keep your place as you run to make some hot chocolate..
Breakfast in Bed on a chilly Sunday Morning.
Layer up this season and add a touch of vintage to any outfit. Loved by grannies in years by gone and carefully sourced and selected for Messyla.com.
All are available at the Online Shoppe and more Autumny items are available there too.
You can view all items above, together, in my Autumn Treasury.
..stay tuned for another Christmas Gift Guide next month!xx
