Vintage Pieces

I love when people find some old vintage goods in their homes and give them on to me. I love having the reputation of looking after things and cherishing them. (hoarding, ahem). And I am always so thankful to have them to add to my collection. So when I got a bag of napkins, tablecloths and aprons I was squealing with joy! I should probably sell them on like a savvy business woman. But I am a softy and can’t seem to distinguish between the blurred line of personal items and business items. So for now, I will love them always. And maybe tomorrow, I might sell them. (don’t count on it!). x

Mollie Makes Handmade Wedding

Exciting news! I am so proud to announce that Messyla is featured in a one-off Wedding special for Mollie Makes. I have been waiting patiently to spill these beans for about a month now and thankfully it is time to show you and tell you all about it.

If you have been following my blog for a while now you will know that in August 2012 I designed and created my sister and brother-in-law’s wedding in our country garden. Everything was a little bit vintage and a little bit country with my handmade invites and decorations, vintage china and fresh cut flowers in little tin cans. (+ so much more!).

It was a joyous wedding season and when the opportunity came to show my Messyla Wedding accessories in Mollie Makes, I squealed and jumped around. (for a few weeks.)

Spring Cleaning

Hi everyone! What do you think of my website re-design? I hadn’t changed the layout and style of my blog for about 8 months and I felt it was time for a change. Spring cleaning.  I also knew I wanted to incorporate one of my makes into the website header and currently the Twiggy Wreaths are my favourite item in the shop. I renewed all the information in the About Us, Contact Us and Stockists page too! (Use the overhead tabs.. Eep!). Overall it was a day for square eyes as I sat by the computer screen making graphics and deciphering whether words like “Welcome” were real words after I had typed them so often.

I now feel fresh and tidy online and offline. So hopefully this spurs some extreme productivity as I fill my Online Shop with goods. I am getting closer to a deadline I set for myself to have this all complete.. so it’s off to work I go.

Today is for..

Getting organised. Catching up with some Spring orders. Finishing off a new crochet cushion. Filling my “new” sideboard with all my stationary and office materials. Listing some new items and some craft supplies I am selling..xxx

Wedding Tags and Shop Updates!

Phew! Friday is here, in another flash, and there has been lots of items added to the shop today too. My plan is to add as much as I can to freshen up for Spring and Summer. I have so many new cards and gifts (and some favourite oldies too!) to add, so bear with me whilst I get through all the photo editing and listing. It’s such a time consuming process! But I love when my shop is nice and full – grabbing a cuppa and marvelling at my hard work! I hope you all have lovely weekend plans..x
