Silver Sixpence Bags

Here is a little peak at my recent order for Melle Cloche, Byres Road. 15 little ladies, ready to accompany a beautiful bride on her wedding day.

“Something Old,
Something New,
Something Borrowed,
Something Blue and A Lucky Sixpence for Her Shoe.”

Tradition says the bride’s father should place a silver sixpence coin in his daughter’s left shoe, twirl her round and wish the newlywed couple a lifetime of health, wealth, happiness and wedded bliss.  Before and after you place the sixpence in the bride’s shoe, keep it safe in its own silk satin bag. They come in a variety of colours, to match all colour schemes. And are a perfect keepsake for your big day! *Sixpence is included with the bags.* x
